1. Colors : Colors can invoke feelings of calm and restfulness.
   - Colors also affect the illusion of space. Some colors like off whites & cream have their anonymous characteristic that gives you an appearance of more space, while warm colors like red and yellow will give an impression of a smaller space. On the other hand cool colors like blue and green will give an openness appearance. - If you would try to choose new color for a wall. Then paint a section of the wall and observe it for a few days at different times. It is a good idea to paint one shade lighter than your sample swatch. Almost always, the color on your sample will look brighter on a big wall than on a small swatch. - Do not use strong colors on areas that you frequently use.
2. Pictures : Hang your picture & sceneries on eye level, putting them high on the wall makes your ceiling seem lower. Aside from the fact that people will have to gaze up to look at your picture.
3. Furnitures : If you are trying to buy new furniture, first measure your room and the furniture. Buy only that furniture which is proportionate to the room.
   • Arrange the furniture around the focal point of the room.
   • Make the distance of furniture appox 6 feet from the wall .
   • Before spending money on making an interior design change, first try to rearrange the furniture or moving furniture from one room to another. You can find a solution to a problem without wasting your time and money.
4. Mirrors : Mirrors give you an illusion of more space. If you want to make a room look bigger, then always use mirrors.
5. Lighting : Each room has at least two to three different light sources. Use general lighting, task lighting and mood lighting. Don't use gloss paint on ceilings, they will show imperfections specially at night when you open the lights.
6. Gardens : Your garden makes an important role in beautifying your home. But avoid big plants, shrubs and trees,they can be a hiding places for burglars. - It is also advisable to put gravel near windows so you (or your dog) can hear if somebody is trying to peek inside.
